A car was swept into a creek near CR 370 off of FM 1702 near the Hazeldell community. An 82-year-old man was rescued. A female occupant in the vehicle drowned. Also, in Proctor, a woman drove a truck into a flooded creek at Old Fleming Road at the Proctor cut off. She was rescued by two citizens who broke the back window of the truck out. She suffered minor injuries from broken glass and some bruises.
Severe thunderstorm winds, likely from the RFD of a supercell, caused damage about a mile east of DeLeon along Highway 6. Tree limbs were snapped, the metal roof of a building was partially peeled back, and light poles at a baseball field were snapped or knocked down.
Amateur radio operators and trained spotters observed a tornado, originally reported to be twelve miles north of Gustine. The tornado damage was noted by local emergency management to be just north of U.S. 377, on the northeast side of the city of Proctor. While the tornado occurred near the city, only tree damage was noted from the storm.
