Straight line winds knocked a large oak tree on to a carport and a portion of a house on Westmoreland Place. The carport and the car inside were destroyed. The house suffered slight roof and siding damage. A wooden fence was also damaged. A business had a sign destroyed.
Straight line winds knocked down and uprooted trees from North Jackson to Bemis. Power lines were also knocked down as well. Shingles were also blown off a few homes across Madison County. In addition, one tree fell onto a home on Chester Road.
A swath of sporadic straight line wind damage stretched across Madison County. The damage started south of Bemis continued into Jackson then extended north roughly between Old Medina Road and Christmasville Road to the Gibson County line. Numerous trees were knocked down with the most intense damage north of North Parkway in Jackson. A large tree fell on a house in Bemis causing extensive damage. Another large tree fell and destroyed a barber shop in Bemis. Numerous trees were knocked down on Hickory Hollow Drive east of the center of Jackson where one tree fell and damaged a porch of a home. A middle school roof in Jackson was damaged. A tree damaged a home in North Jackson. A metal barn and outbuilding on Christmasville road were destroyed.
