Straight line winds overturned an 18-wheeler on Highway 51 North near Halls. In addition, a roof was blown off a mobile home and damaged its support on Edith Nankipoo Road. Several trees were also knocked down in the area.
Damaging straight line winds moved through East Central and Northeast Lauderdale County. This is the same storm that produced damaged across Poinsett and Mississippi Counties in Arkansas. Trees were knocked down in the town of Ripley. The town of Gates received damage as the storm continued northeast. Damage to trees and fences was found in Gates. Power poles were snapped and power lines were knocked down along Highway 209 between Halls and Gates. A shop was destroyed and a home was damaged along Lawrence Road.
Straight line winds knocked several trees and power lines down along Highway 51 in Ripley. A mobile home sustained roof damage and had the underpinning blown out in Henning. A tree and swing set was also blown over as well.
