"Shoulder deep" water covered the parking of an apartment complex in Bearden, covering some vehicles and invading several units. Also, water filled the parking of a popular restaurant in Bearden, completely submerging several vehicles.
Several reports received, from a trained spotter and from the public, of flash flooding observed in western Knox County. Portions of Bakertown Road near Karns were flooded. Portions of Ball Camp Pike near Powell were blocked by police due to high water. Over a foot of water was observed in a restaurant parking lot and surrounding areas in Bearden.
Flooding occurred on numerous roads around Knoxville, including Sherrill Blvd, Walker Road and Mineral Springs Road, Heiskel Avenue, and Proctor Street. Water rescues from stranded vehicles were made on Cross Park Drive.
