The State also reported that part of a roof was torn off a USC building and damage to other buildings and vehicles. This was also reported through Charleston NWS, a pilot reported part of a room torn off at a building along Huger Street.
Multiple trees were downed. Locations include Browning Rd and Zimalcrest Dr, Battleford Rd and Emerald Valley Rd, 1505 Adella St, Riverhill Cir and Broad River Rd (US Hwy 176), Williamsburg Dr and Coronado Dr, and Surrey St and Magrath St.
Downburst winds from a severe thunderstorm continued to move east across Richland County. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted in the Portrait Hill neighborhood near Chapin. Further east, trees were downed at Freshly Mill Rd and Carrie Shealy Rd, 2800 Kennerly Rd, Pineway Rd and Friendly Woods Rd, Muller Rd and Pinegrove Rd, Muddy Ford Rd and Wash Lever Rd, and along Interstate 77 north of Exit 28 (Blythewood Rd).
