Sheriff departments in Lancaster, Chesterfield, Kershaw, and Fairfield counties reported considerable flash flooding in portions of their counties. Many streams were overflowing roads, bridges, and flooding low lying areas. Several washouts and road closures were also reported.
Flooding in the Dalton Ridge Apartments. Lancaster Co Emergency Manager reported at least 8 roads flooded within the city of Lancaster, specific locations not given. One person was assisted from a motor vehicle by the Fire Dept, specific location not given.
Man O War Drive was flooded and appeared impassable based on video posted on social media by broadcast media. Department of Highways also reported Straightaway Lane at Black Horse Run Road flooded with about 6 inches of water on the roadway.
