An area of thunderstorms moved through Abbeville, Aiken, Lexington, Richland, Kershaw, and Fairfield Counties, blowing downtrees and powerlines and causing other minor damage. At least 10,000 customers were left without power because of these thunderstorms.
Emergency Manager, trained spotter, and broadcast media reported damage to structures in Lugoff near US Hwy 601, Plaza Dr, and Boulware Rd. A car dealership and two restaurants experienced roof damage, and damage to siding and signs. Trees and power lines were downed, including some onto cars. Time estimated.
