A person was swept away as Cascada Gozalandia, while other two were trapped by increasing water levels in Rio Guatemala. The body of the person was found and recovered two days later, when the water levels finally receded.
An emergency manager from OMME San Sebastian reported a rockfall at PR-111 Km 23.9, close to Salto Collazo in Barrio Piedras Blancas. Social media posts show a 2013 Kia Rio severely impacted by the rockfall. However, the car driver was not harmed.
Flooding rains caused by strong thunderstorms affected the northwest Municipalities. A social media post indicated minor flooding related to a water surge along a river that crossed a road near Barrio Saltos in San Sebastian, near a residential area.
