A vehicle with two people trapped was located in a flooded Virgilio Biaggi Rd. between Urb. Perla del Sur and Urb. Villa Grillasca. This road is adjacent of the flooded Las Americas Ave. Authorities where rescuing them at that moment. Radar estimated 1 to 4 inches of rain in the Ponce municipality around 6:30 pm.
Four cars had people trapped in them due to ponding water on Avenida Las Americas in Ponce near a Tasty Chicken restaurant. The emergency manager reported that the flooding was above the tires of the trucks and his waist. Ave. Las Americas was closed as it was impassable from Tasty Chicken to La Secretaria de Recreacion y Deportes Building. The authorities have the Avenida closed. The people trapped were rescued.
