Broadcast media reported flooding in the barrio of Palmajero, Sector Cosme, in the La Buruquena area, caused by the overflow of the Rio Mavilla. Video footage shows water spilling onto nearby roads, making the roads impassable.
OMME Corozal reported via 911 that a fallen tree and power cables are blocking the roadway on PR-159, between kilometers 17.9 and 18.0, in the neighborhood line of Abras and Palmarejo. This incident occurred as the outer bands of Hurricane Erin moved onshore.
