Thunderstorm winds estimated near 60 mph flattened the Turbotville Train Station. Several large branches were also down along SR 44 between McEwensville and Turbotville. This report was relayed by the Turbotville Borough Heritage Society who had been overseeing the Turbotville Train Station Relocation Project for approximately 2.5 years.
Northumberland county emergency manager reported wind damage to portions of a roof of a large warehouse in Watsontown. The wind damage was confined to warehouse #2 of Moran Industries where two large portions of the roof were lifted. One portion crashed into a parking lot, knocking down wires and damaging a truck.
Numerous trees and wires were knocked down by thunderstorm winds in Point Township. 615 residents were without power. Route 147 from Ridge Road to Route 405 was closed. In the greater Sunbury area, 923 residents were without power.
