Thunderstorm winds knocked down many trees across western and central Cumberland County. Damage began around 1530 EST in Dickinson Township, and continued through 1545. Damage was reported in Dickinson, Penn, West Pennsboro, North Newton and North Middleton Townships with damage in the cities of New Cumberland, Newville and Mount Holly Springs. Walnut size hail /1.50 inch/ was reported in Newville.
