What the reports say

A line of thunderstorms became severe across eastern portions of the county. Wind damage in the form of downed trees was reported first in and near Litchfield. Shortly thereafter, the southern portion of the squall line intensified and dime sized hail was observed in Wyalusing.
Newspaper reports indicate that golf ball size hail was reported in Terry township. Other reports from SKYWARN storm spotters indicate that 3/4 inch diameter hail was more common from Troy through Wyalusing. The hail accumulated to a depth of 2 to 3 inches in Terrytown where several homes and vehicles were damaged.
