Severe thunderstorms developed in northeast Oklahoma during the morning of June 6th. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 mph one mile south of Sapulpa, and golf ball-size hail dented cars at the Cherokee Industrial Park three miles northeast of Turley. Golf ball-size hail also fell at Kellyville and five miles west of Sand Springs, and dime- to quarter-size hail covered the ground to a depth of four inches three miles south of Owasso. Dime- to quarter-size hail also fell at several other locations in northeast Oklahoma.
