Late afternoon and evening thunderstorms in southern and central Oklahoma produced large hail, severe winds, and one tornado. The tornado was reported three miles north of Ravia in Johnston County, where several large trees were downed and the roof was blown off a barn. The damage was rated as F1. The largest hail was also reported in Johnston County five miles south of Mill Creek, where hail as large as half-dollars fell. Severe thunderstorm winds downed an 18-inch tree in Carter County five miles east of Gene Autry and two-inch limbs in Olney in Coal County.
Isolated severe thunderstorms in southeast and south-central Oklahoma during the evening hours on the 29th produced damaging winds and dime size hail. Strong thunderstorm winds tore the roof off a house, damaged two buildings and downed trees 5.5 miles south-southwest of Wilson and damaged a mobile home seven miles north of Lone Grove. Strong thunderstorm winds destroyed a mobile home in Lone Grove. None of the five occupants of the mobile home were injured.
