Severe thunderstorms moved across northeast Oklahoma during the late evening of June 4th and very early morning of June 5th. Strong thunderstorm winds downed trees in Collinsville and in Inola, and several large tree limbs were blown down by strong winds in Okemah. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 mph in Bristow, four miles east of Beggs, four miles northeast of Sapulpa, in Owasso, and one mile north of Wagoner, and strong winds blew signs down near the intersection of 31st Street South and Yale Avenue in the city of Tulsa. Quarter-size hail fell just north of Winchester and three miles east of Welch, and dime- to quarter-size hail fell one mile north of Winchester. Dime-size hail also fell four miles northeast of Sapulpa, at Owasso, and one mile south of Eufaula.
Thunderstorms moved into western Oklahoma during the early morning hours on the 26th and raced eastward. The storms produced hail up to quarter-size. Nickel-size hail accumulated up to six inches deep two miles west of Vinita. Dime-size hail covered the ground in Delhi and 5.5 miles northwest of Reydon. Hail up to quarter-size covered the ground 8 miles west of Willow.
Severe thunderstorms with large hail developed in north-central and northeast Oklahoma during the morning. Hail up to golfball-size covered the ground at Shamrock and Okesa. Golfball-size hail broke out car windows on Interstate 35 about 9 miles north of Perry. Golfball-size hail also fell 3 miles west of Ponca City and near Sparks. Numerous other locations in north-central and northeast Oklahoma received dime- to quarter-size hail.
