Thunderstorm winds estimated at 60 to 70 mph caused considerable damage across the county. Several hundred trees and 55 power poles were downed. Widespread damage was reported in Ashtabula, Pierpont, Andover, Jefferson and Geneva on the Lake. Major damage occurred at a campground just north of Andover where five homes were severely damaged by fallen trees. Over 50 trees were downed at the campground.
Thunderstorm downburst winds produced a swath of damage across northern Ashtabula County. Damage stretched from the Jefferson area northeastward across Sheffield Township and into the Conneaut area. Significant tree damage was reported in Jefferson. A residence in Sheffield Township along Peebles Road had nearly 70 trees toppled. Dozens of trees were also downed in the Conneaut area with at least five homes in the town heavily damaged by fallen trees. Scattered downed trees were reported across the remainder of the area. Many power outages were reported.
Thunderstorm downbursts winds estimated to be at least 70 mph leveled two barns on Cream Ridge and a third on Creek Road just north of Ford Road. Trees in the area were also downed. The parent thunderstorms responsible for this damage also produced the EF2 tornado at Williamsfield.
