Widespread trees were blown down across all of Guilford County. Numerous homes sustained significant damage from falling trees and strong winds across the county, with 32 structures receiving at least minor damage within the city of Greensboro.
A gust of 60 mph was measured at the Piedmont Triad International Airport. In addition the emergency manager reported that numerous trees and power lines were blown down. A couple of the trees fell on top of homes. Monetary damage was estimated.
Numerous trees were blown down in the Greensboro area. Elm Street, Summit Avenue and Sunset Drive was some of the hardest hit areas. The severe thunderstorm winds |resulted in damage at Peck Elementary School. Multiple trees were downed, and multiple cars were damaged, as well as the walkway to the trailers outside the main building.
