Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at over 60 mph caused substantial damage at a golf course just northwest of Pender. About 10 trees on the course were downed or severely damaged, and a maintenance building also sustained damage.
Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 70 mph downed large trees and power lines from Emerson to just south of town. A local newspaper stated that "not a yard or street was spared" from the debris, and fallen trees closed Highway 9 for a while. The fallen trees also caused damage to several houses in the area.
A thunderstorm caused a damage path 8 to 10 miles wide from east of Emerson to near Walthill. Golf ball-size hail was up to 12 inches deep in some areas. Windows were broken, roof were damaged, large trees were snapped off, and livestock was injured. Serious damage occurred near Walthill.
