A long track supercell thunderstorm began in western Cherry county during the early afternoon hours of the 29th. The thunderstorm proceeded to move southeast through eastern Hooker, eastern McPherson, western Logan, eastern Lincoln, into eastern Frontier county. A continuous path of hail damage resulted as hail covered the ground several inches deep in some areas. Significant damage was done to grassland, cropland, and communities in the path of the storm.
