Hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter fell southwest through south of Wisner. The hail fell for nearly 15 minutes and accumulated up to 2 to 3 feet in some ditches aided by 2 to 3 inches of rain that fell during and after the hail.
Hail up to tennis ball size caused considerable damage near West Point. Many windows were broken out of several houses near town. The hail was accompanied by strong winds which severly damaged or destroyed some 24,000 to 30,000 acres of crop land, and drifted 6 to 8 inches deep in places.
