Hail to the size of tennis balls was reported east of the municipal airport. The main impacts of the hail occurred east of town in a more rural area. Some damage was reported at the airports and to some structures to the east in clouding some vehicles.
Severe thunderstorms moved into south central Missouri, producing up to golf ball-size hail. Thunderstorm winds downed trees in West Plains and limbs in the Hardenville and Ava areas, and power lines were blown down in Salem.
