A wide swath of large hail fell between St. Martins and Jefferson City. The largest hail stones were 3 inches in diameter. There were numerous reports of dents on vehicles and car windows broken out. At least 800 hundred cars sustained damage at car dealerships in the Jefferson City area. The largest hail stones were reported in St. Martins, Elston, and Jefferson City.
Large hail of up to 1.75 inches in diameter fell across Cole County in an east-northeast line. The largest stones were reported in Wardsville where there was damage to siding. Severe hail was also reported in Russellville and Taos.
A wide swath of large hail fell over Cole County from the Hickory Hill/Eugene area to near St. Thomas. Golfball sized hail was reported in Eugene where some vehicles sustained dents from the hail. In Hickory Hill, two inch hail was reported.
