Two houses and four mobile homes sustained major damage. Fifteen other houses and mobile homes had minor damage, mainly due to trees and large limbs that were blown down onto roofs. Several power lines were blown down or knocked down by fallen trees and limbs.
Downburst winds from a severe thunderstorm blew down scattered trees in a swath from near MS Highway 490 and Quinn Road on the east side of Noxapater to near MS Highway 14 and the Noxubee County line. One tree fell onto a home along Eaves Road.
Widespread trees and power lines were blown down across a good portion of the county. Several roads were blocked due to downed trees. The worst damage was across the eastern half of the county and occurred between 852pm and 935pm.
