Significant straight line winds moved across southern Madison County. Numerous trees and several power lines were blown down with some trees down on vehicles. Ten to fifteen homes suffered minor to major damage in the Densmore Subdivision. Wind gusts were estimated between 80 and 90 mph.
Intense straight line winds occurred across the northern end of the City of Madison. Near the northern entrance to Ashbrooke Subdivision, across Catlett Road and along Quail Ridge Drive several hardwood and softwood trees were uprooted. Numerous homes had shingles missing and one had a large section of the aluminum roofing torn off. Two homes also sustained damage from uprooted trees. The swath of wind damage was almost a mile long and around 200 yards wide. Maximum winds were between 85 and 95 mph.
Numerous trees and several power lines were blown down from the north side of Madison eastward toward Twin Harbors and Haley Creek Subdivisions to the western shore of the Ross Barnett Reservoir. Five homes were damaged by downed trees along with a few vehicles. Maximum wind gusts with this storm were around 80 mph.
