What the reports say

Numerous trees and power lines were blown down across the central portion of Jones County. Just east of Laurel, a woman was killed when a tree fell onto her mobile home. This damage occurred as a large bow echo, called a derecho, raced across the region.
A swath of significant damage, from roughly 70-85 mph winds, was noted across the southwest and south portions of Jones county. A home sustained roof damage at Old Progress and Eatonville roads. Damaged awning at Moselle Elementary School. Trees downed at intersection of Berry road and Lillian Dr. Tree top downed blocking one lane at 400 block of Sellers road. Multiple trees were downed at Ovett-Moselle, Tom Stockman, N WPA, with a motor vehicle driving into the downed trees along with other trees downed along Tower road and Eastabuchie and Cook roads.
A intense downburst within a bow echo destroyed three chicken houses in the Rustin Community, off of Pleasant Grove Road just a few miles east-southeast of Sandersville. A couple of the chicken houses were flattened while the other had most of its tin roof pealed off.
