Thunderstorm winds caused widespread tree damage near Lake Shetek, including up to 3 foot diameter trees blown down. Several vehicles, a dock, and a trampoline near the lake were damaged by falling trees or tree debris. Falling trees trapped 4 people in a restaurant.
Damage occurred to numerous small to moderate tree limbs. Property damage costs are rough estimates. Wind was accompanied by pea size hail. Crop damage is an estimate from insured losses. Information provided by the United States Department of Agriculture.
