Strong thunderstorm winds hit the Little Fork area. On County Road 73 a mobile home was overturned, large trees were blown down, breaking windows and causing other structural damage. Also, a pole barn collapsed. On County Road 8, a barn collapsed, two sheds were blown into the woods, and over 100 trees were uprooted.
A line of thunderstorms moved across Western Koochiching County uprooting several trees in an area one-forth mile long by 100 yards wide just to the north of Big Falls. In addition to the uprooted trees, numerous large trees were snapped at a height of six to ten feet. Damage was all facing to the northwest.
