NUMEROUS TREES AND POWER LINES WERE BLOWN DOWN ACROSS THE COUNTY. THE TOWN OF STURGIS WAS ESPECIALLY HARD HIT WHERE TREES…LIMBS…FENCES AND TV ANTENNAS WERE BLOWN DOWN. ONE HOME OWNERS CAR WAS COMPLETELY CRUSHED BY A VERY LARGE TREE.
St. Joseph County Central Dispatch reported downed trees and power lines across White Pigeon Township. One tree landed on a vehicle at 309 S. Washington Street in White Pigeon. Intermittent power outages occurred at the height of the storm.
Healthy 1 to 3 ft diameter tree uprooted and downed on a garage. A tree with partial rotting was snapped at the base and the top limbs damaged a house. Several smaller 3 to 6 inch limbs down around porperty. Powerlines bent or down as well.
