Thunderstorm winds were estimated to be between 60 and 70 mph by a person 18 miles east of Hagerstown. A Skywarn spotter in Middletown estimated winds at over 60 mph and some trees were blown down. Three-quarter inch hail was also reported. There were numerous reports of trees down over most of the county. Several thousand customers were without power during the storm.
