Severe thunderstorms moved into the northwest corner of the state during the evening producing damaging straight line wind gusts in several locations. In Oil City, the roof of a bandstand was blown off. Radio towers were damaged by strong wind gusts near Rodessa and at Oil City. Numerous trees were also downed by wind gusts on Cypress Lake northeast of Benton, and at Springhill.
