Thunderstorm winds in the Bourg and Dularge areas damaged twelve homes, wrecked a recreational vehicle, caused a car to be crushed by a falling tree, flipped a refrigerator truck, toppled several boats, destroyed several backyard sheds, and knocked down numerous trees. Four of the houses affected by the storm sustained severe damage.
Two homes received significant damage when they were knocked off their supporting blocks by thunderstorm winds. The damage resulted in a gas leak. Minor property damage also occurred to a few other homes and buildings in the Montegut area.
Damage was reported throughout Terrebonne Parish. Power lines were reported down in Montegut. Trees were blown down in Houma, power lines were blown down and a carport damaged in Chauvin. Event time was estimated from radar.
