A tornado moved out of Jefferson Parish northeastward into Plaquemines Parish where about 25 homes and several trees and power lines were damaged from the Bertrandville area to near Braithwaite. The tornado continued to move northeast into St. Bernard Parish.
Damage in Belle Chasse was in line with the storm in the Gretna area. Trees and power lines were blown down and structures received minor damage. A NWS Storm Survey showed straight line winds of 100 mph and were associated with a strong inflow notch radar signature.
An EF-1 tornado quickly developed near LA Hwy 23, blowing over several power poles before crossing the Mississippi River. Numerous trees were visibly damaged on high resolution satellite imagery across the river with a faint damage path continuing into the marsh thereafter. The end point is estimated by radar and high resolution satellite imagery.
