Straight line wind damage associated with a severe thunderstorm produced a path of damage approximately 9 miles long and 4 miles wide. Massive amounts of tree damage occurred all of which was lying in a southeastward direction. One mobile home received roof damage when a large pine tree fell onto the home. Barns and out buildings also received minor damage to the roof tin. Several cars received major damage as trees fell upon them.
Dispatch reported trees downed on the southwest side of West Liberty. A power pole near Morgan Central Elementary School was hit by some of these trees. A vehicle was also hit by falling trees, while the roof of a house was partially torn off.
Trees were blown down by thunderstorm winds estimated to have been between 60 and 70 mph on KY 519, Hickory Rd, Blevins Rd, and in the Zag area on old KY 519. A house on Hickory Rd had roof damage and an uprooted tree fell on a metal building in Zag.
