Large tree fell onto mobile home. One woman injured, sustaining fractured vertebrae, requiring ambulance transport to Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita where, upon arrival, the woman was listed in fair condition. (Narrative courtesy of Wichita Eagle, Winfield Courier, Anthony Republican, and Harper Advocate.)
Strong winds blew over five double stacked railroad cars. An estimated 40 containers were blown with both tracks of the railroad being blocked. The railroad containers were full of paper, cereal and other non hazardous materials.
KanOkla telephone building unroofed. An old school and an unspecified number of residences sustained broken windows. Downed power lines and power poles resulted in severed power across town. (Narrative courtesy Central Region Significant Event Report.)
