Rear flank downdraft damage over five miles wide and 12 miles long. Wind speeds estimated to be over 100 mph. Over 150 power poles were snapped off and 40 Pivot Sprinklers were damaged or destroyed, along with trees and fences.
Storm survey found no solid evidence for a tornado as this previous report has been corrected to thunderstorm wind damage. A video was received via social media of structural damage on a farm around 8 miles southwest of Cimarron.
High winds from a severe thunderstorm produced widespread damage in town. Many large trees were uprooted and there was also some roof damage. Hail also occurred and there were many birds and small animals laying dead after the storm. In addition, about 2.50 of rain fell in 30 minutes causing flooding of city streets. Damage was far worse southeast of town.
