What the reports say

A mobile home was overturned and destroyed as a result of a microburst. A 79 year old male lost his life and his wife (age unknown) was injured while inside the mobile home. An RV was also flipped nearby. Power poles and trees in the area showed no signs of damage. Winds were estimated between 70 and 80 mph.
Trees and power lines were reported down in the North Judson area. The strong winds continued east into Bass Lake, where a 75 foot high tree was blown down onto a house, as well as a Ford Expedition sitting next to the house. A boat capsized on Bass Lake, but no injuries were reported.
Emergency management officials reported numerous trees uprooted or snapped across the town. One of the uprooted trees ruptured a natural gas line, resulting in the evacuation of three residences in the area. Several tree branches were reported down with some onto vehicles. No injuries were reported with any of the damage.
