Heavy rainfall totaling 2.00 to 4.00 inches in 15 hours through 0800 EST on the 11th over much of eastern Marion County, produced isolated areal flooding which led to a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate Route 69 between Thompson Road and Edgewood Avenue, and an automobile sliding into an inundated ditch near 75th Street and Binford Blvd. Cars were also stuck in high water at 10th Street and North Sherman Drive, and a school at 6401 75th Street cancelled classes.
Flooding occurred along the White River in and near Nora, Indiana. |The river crested 1.7 feet above flood stage at the Nora river gauge on April 7th at a reading of 12.7 feet. At this height a few streets and backyards typically begin to flood.
