Thunderstorm winds uprooted or snapped numerous trees in Howard County, including several trees snapped in Russiaville, while powerlines were downed towards southwest portions of the county. Winds also broke smaller tree limbs and blew off shingles in Kokomo.
An estimated 60 mph thunderstorm wind gust was observed in this location. There were multiple reports of trees and power lines down across Kokomo and Howard County due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts. Some trees were down on vehicles.
Numerous tents were blown over at the Howard County Fairgrounds, including on well staked tent, due to an estimated 50 mph thunderstorm wind gust. Injuries are bruises and cuts on a worker who was inside a tent as it fell.
