Significant tree damage across the town of Attica due to strong straight line winds associated with a bookend vortex. 3 houses had damage from trees falling on them with one minor injury in one of the residences. Near the golf course on the south side of the town, a free standing radio antenna was bent over with a noticeable amount of rust at the base. Elsewhere, the high school lost a portion of the roof which led to water damage in the school.
An intense area of damaging winds associated with the rear flank downdraft of a supercell moved through central Fountain county from Attica to near Newtown. Damage consisted of several farm outbuildings destroyed and a few homes with minor damage.
Power lines were reported down at the intersection of County Roads 900 South and 270 East due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts. Power lines were also downed at the intersection of US Highway 41 and County Road 800 South. Additionally, a roof was blown off a barn on County Road 900 South, just east of 270 East.
