A microburst hit a business located in a pole barn on the southeast side of Hoyleton, destroying it. Debris, mainly metal roofing pieces where thrown onto nearby houses causing minor to moderate damage. Several trees, tree limbs, power poles and power lines in the area were blown down as well.
Rear flank downdraft winds associated with a tornadic thunderstorm destroyed an empty grain bin on a farm on Canary Road, just south of I-64. Then the winds blew over an east bound tractor trailer on I-64 near where the interstate crosses over County Road 4. The driver sustained minor injuries.
Thunderstorm winds blew the skylight and doors off of a shed on a farm northeast of Addieville. Also, five windsow were blown out on an unoccupied farm house and a grain auger was blown over. The debris was scattered up to half a mile from the farmstead.
