Nickel size hail covered the ground in Bellmont. Half dollar size hail fell in Mount Carmel. Hail damaged the side of at least one house just southwest of Mount Carmel. The ground was completely covered by hail in some places.
A severe thunderstorm produced a narrow swath of large hail west through south of Mt. Carmel. Ping-pong ball size hail was reported on Highway 15 just east of Bellmont. Quarter-size hail was reported on the south side of Mt. Carmel near the power plant.
