Widespread wind damage occurred across the southern portions of Montgomery County. Numerous trees, tree limbs and power lines were blown down in Litchfield, Hillsboro and Coffeen. In Litchfield, a large tree branch landed on a house causing moderate roof damage.
The northwest portion of Farmersville was impacted by a localized downburst with winds estimated around 70 mph. Several large trees were snapped, numerous branches and a power pole were down, and several metal outbuildings sustained damage to garage doors or siding.
A cooperative observer reported large trees down, a damaged grain bin, and a damaged siloh near Walshville. Power lines and road signs were blown down near Coffeen. Large trees were also toppled, one of which fell and heavily damaged a mobile home and nearby house.
