Several reports of golf ball-sized hail were received from storm spotters of golf ball-sized hail from southeast of Centralhatchee to the far southeast corner of Heard county in Corinth, including the south side of Franklin. The Heard County Emergency Management Director reported quarter-sized hail in the northeast part of the county east of Centralhatchee.
The Heard County 911 Center relayed a report of penny-sized hail from the Centralhatchee area. Radar data supported that hail of similar or perhaps larger size fell likely fell across much of Heard county except for the northeast part.
Several reports of hail were received across the county. The Heard county 911 center reported golf ball size hail at Frolona, the public reported quarter size hail in Franklin, while the public reported dime size hail in Roosterville and 5 miles southeast of Franklin.
