A swath of large hail was observed from the west central part of the county to the northeast corner. The public reported baseball-sized hail in Cordele. Fire Station No. 1 reported golf ball-sized hail just northeast of Cordele, while Fire Station No. 4 reported quarter-sized hail in the far western part of the county near Coney.
The Crisp County Emergency Manager reported large hail associated with a thunderstorm that moved across the county. Dime to penny sized hail was reported just south of Cordele, with the hail increasing in size to quarters as the storm moved east toward the south side of the town of East Crisp.
The public observed quarter-sized hail at the Plantation House, approximately four miles east-northeast of Arabi. The Crisp County Emergency Management Director reported penny-sized hail approximately four miles northwest of Arabi, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 41 and Georgia Highway 33.
