Two Moultrie businesses, a tractor-semitrailer company and a building company, had their roofs blown off and strewn across nearby roads. Trees and power lines were also down in the areas. In Doerun, winds took the roof off of the Mobley Gin and caused damage to at least two other buildings in town.
Trees and power lines down countywide. Numerous grass and tree fires from sparking power lines. A mobile home lost its roof in the Bear creek subdivision near Norman Park. One house received extensive fire damage and several homes sustained minor damage from fallen trees in Moultrie. The roof from the Moultrie YMCA building was blown off.
An irrigation pivot was overturned and blown into the road near Highway 33 north. A mobile home in the same area was knocked off its foundation with roof damage. The monetary damage figure provided is a rough estimate.
