What the reports say

The Atlanta Journal-Contstituation and the Cobb County 911 Center reported that dozens of trees were down throughout the county. A 55-year old Marietta woman was killed instantly when a large tree fell on her vehicle while traveling along Powers Ferry Road. Many power outages were noted around the county for up to four hours in some areas.
Broadcast media and the public reported multiple trees down in the Marietta area, including West Paces Ferry Road, Windy Hill Road, and Lower Roswell Road. At the intersection of Oak Knoll Drive and Cross Gate Drive, multiple trees were down, including one that fell on a home and injured a child.
The Cobb County 911 Center reported widespread and extensive damage from downed trees across the southern portion of the county, from Powder Springs, to Austell, to Mableton. Several of the trees fell on homes and a number of power lines were also brought down as well. Over 1000 residents in the county were left without power following the storms, in some cases throughout the night.
