Estimated wind gusts between 60 and 65 mph caused numerous trees and branches to break and fall in the 300 block of East Weatherbee Road and 300 block of Tumblin Kling Road, according to St. Lucie County Emergency Management. A tree fell on a carport and another fell on a home, briefly trapping an unknown number of people inside. At a nearby car dealership, several vehicles on display with their hoods raised sustained damage and several display windows were broken.
Thunderstorm damage was noted in a west-to-east oriented swath that ran parallel to Orange Ave between S Jenkins Rd and S 33rd St. Several homes in communities adjacent to Orange Ave experienced minor damage to their metal roofs, awnings, and siding. Additionally, the overhang of a local restaurant near the corner of Orange Ave and S Jenkins Rd was flipped onto its roof. Vegetative damage, in the form of broken limbs, and a few uprooted trees were noted along the path.
Reports and videos received from the public showed downburst wind damage occurred along SE Galleon Lane, SE Lamon Lane, and SE Calmoso Lane in Port Saint Lucie. The damage consisted of downed fences, numerous small to medium sized tree branches downed, and many backyard items tossed into adjacent areas.
