Several reports were received from local broadcast media and the public of half dollar sized hail south of the Sanford Airport. Specifically, near the intersection of Lake Mary Blvd. and Brisson Avenue in Sanford, and intersection of Lake Mary Blvd. and Melonville Avenue.
A member of the public relayed video via social media from Chuluota showing mainly dime to nickel sized hail with a few quarter-sized hail stones mixed in. The same person also sent a video showing strong winds blowing over a trampoline. Those winds are estimated to be around 55 mph.
Per various social media photos and reports; various members of the public reported hail ranging from ping pong to golf ball size fell in an area from Oviedo to Chuluota to just north of the University of Central Florida campus.
