Straight line winds caused numerous trees to be snapped and uprooted in Ponce de Leon. Minor structural damage was sustained as roofing was peeled off of a couple of metal barns. Winds were estimated around 80 mph. Damage cost was estimated.
WMBB News 13 reported widespread and extensive tree and power line damage in Holmes county and the western part of Washington county. The West Florida Electric Cooperative experienced widespread damage throughout its service area due to numerous downed trees and power lines with crews working non-stop throughout the afternoon to restore power. Radar showed that a line of storms capable of producing winds in excess of 70 mph moved through the area. Monetary damage was estimated.
Trees were blown down and a carport was blown from the back porch to the front yard of a residence which went over the roof. There was also a hole in the roof. This damage occurred along the Florida-Alabama state line between Fadette, AL and Graceville, FL.
